1. How long have you been doing CrossFit? What got you started? It’s been 1.4 years since I began my CrossFit journey. Before joining, I struggled with everyday tasks due to my lack of strength. It was Navneet who recommended CrossFit as a way to build my strength. However, the more I delve into it, the more I’m amazed by the advantages it offers.
2. What aspect of our core values of authentic, driven, and inclusive do you relate to the most? Why? The value of inclusivity resonates with me the most. As someone new to weightlifting and the gym environment, I’ve found everyone to be incredibly supportive, approachable, and accepting, regardless of experience level.
3. What do you most look forward to when you come to the gym? Despite having only a few people in my class, I really enjoy the interactions during our workouts (even if it’s a small group!). I’m always super excited to jump into the workout, and I particularly love the innovative warm-ups we do.
4. What is your favourite memory at All Level CrossFit? First CrossFit OPEN I attended at All Level. It was an exhilarating and unforgettable event that truly showcased the spirit of our community.Walking into the gym on the day of the Open, there was an undeniable buzz of excitement in the air. Athletes of all levels were gearing up to tackle the challenging workouts ahead, and the energy was palpable.What made this experience so special was the incredible camaraderie and support that permeated every moment. Whether it was cheering each other on during the workouts, offering words of encouragement between sets, or celebrating personal achievements, there was an overwhelming sense of unity and teamwork.
5. What goals have you set for yourself in CrossFit that you’ve successfully achieved? What are your current goals? My sole objective is to surpass my previous self. Since becoming a member, I’ve noticed significant improvements in my strength. As for my current goals, I’m focused on continuing to improve my overall fitness and performance in CrossFit. This includes refining my technique in key movements, increasing my strength and power, and working on my weaknesses to become a more well-rounded athlete.
6. What advice do you have for someone who’s on the fence about starting CrossFit? It’s the best investment you’d make in yourself. Start at your own pace and focus on technique!
7. How has your experience at All Level CrossFit improved your life outside of the gym? It has cultivated greater empathy towards others and encouraged me to vocalize my needs. The most rewarding aspect? The friendships forged! Additionally, it has boosted my strength, and energy levels, undoubtedly enhanced my mental well-being, and heightened my awareness of the significance of nutrition.
