1.) What got you started in CrossFit? How did you hear about it?I had always heard about CrossFit but never felt like I would be "good" at it. What pushed me into finally joining was my body was ready for a change. I had become complacent in my fitness routine and knew if I didn't shock my body and do something completely different, I wouldn't see the results I had been working hard towards.
2.) What is your favourite part about coming to the gym? My favourite part about coming into the gym is seeing my gym buddies. It's very encouraging crushing a tough WOD with a friend and getting through it together. I love the feeling of community and belonging - everyone is equal and that is an amazing feeling in a space that completely pushes you out of your comfort zone each workout.
3.) What is your favourite CrossFit movement? Least favourite? My favourite CrossFit movement would have to be either a power clean or squat clean. My least favorite movement right now are burpee box jumps!
4.) What are your goals in CrossFit? My goals in CrossFit are to keep building strength, stay consistent and stay healthy!
5.) How do you explain your newfound obsession with CrossFit?There are so many layers to why I love CrossFit! I love the way I feel, I love the community, the fun the coaches bring to each WOD and how amazing I feel after each workout, no matter how grueling it was.
6. What advice do you have for someone who is thinking of trying CrossFit? My advice would be don't hesitate to give it a try, you are going to love it!
7. What does CrossFit mean to you?CrossFit means more to me than just a form of training. For me, it has changed my life in many areas other than the physical. I'm the fittest I've ever been since starting CrossFit and I'm truly grateful for it.
8. How has CrossFit helped you improve your life outside of the gym? CrossFit has helped me tackle challenges and problems I'm faced with by pushing through it and coming out stronger. Each time I begin a WOD, I know no matter how tough it is I'm going to get through it and be better after. Thank you, All Level!
