1. How long have you been doing CrossFit? What got you started? I’ve been doing CrossFit for about 9 years. I found All Levels when I was searching for an instructor lead fitness classes nearby. After my first foundations class, I was hooked.
2. What aspect of our core values of authentic, driven, and inclusive do you relate to the most? Why? I’m driven, trying for improvement when I can, I don’t give up easily. I’m driven, trying for improvement when I can, I don’t give up easily.
3. What do you most look forward to when you come to the gym? Doing a workout with friends and the best community of athletes….and tormenting the coaches.
4. What is your favourite memory at All Level CrossFit? The 2016 CrossFit Open Season. This was my first time experiencing the magic of the Open. The Teams, the events, the wins, the awards, the parties and the lifelong friends I made.
5. What goals have you set for yourself in CrossFit that you’ve successfully achieved? What are your current goals?. I try to learn and improve on skilled movements that would typically be seen in the Open, so that I can complete the event RX. Bar MU, HSPU, handstand Walks, single leg squats and using RX weights. Hopefully Ring muscle ups will be next.
6. What advice do you have for someone who’s on the fence about starting CrossFit? You will be amazed at how much you improve in one year. You’ll look back and wonder why you didn’t start sooner.
7. How has CrossFit helped you improve your life outside of the gym? I am not afraid of getting older. Every year that I age, I am more fit than the year before.
