1.) What got you started in CrossFit? How did you hear about it? My wife and stepdaughter started a year prior to me and they wouldn’t stop talking about it, and still don’t, so I figured if you can’t beat em join em!
2.) What is your favourite part about coming to the gym?
The community and coaching staff. Everyone there to help and brighten your day! The accountability is a strong draw too.
3.) What is your favourite CrossFit movement? Least favourite? I prefer the assault bike (mainly because I dislike running) and least favourite ….no surprise is burpees.
4.) What are your goals in CrossFit?
Stay healthy, get fit and combat my Type 2 Diabetes.
5.) How do you explain your newfound obsession with CrossFit? I cannot say it is an obsession. Working hard and trying hard and seeing results with the help of the coaching staff and community is what makes it an obsession. I have been at it for 2 years which is a first for me.
6. What advice do you have for someone who is thinking of trying CrossFit? I would tell them to just try it! Give it a week or month . I never thought I would still be doing this two years later with no plans on quitting. It all boils down to “If you want something you never had you must be willing to do something you have never done” by Thomas Jefferson.
7. What does CrossFit mean to you?
It means staying healthy and hopefully getting my Type 2 Diabetes under control, all the while having fun and meeting new people.
8. How has CrossFit helped you improve your life outside of the gym? Just knowing that the steps taken today can help to enjoy life for years to come.
