HEAT is a functional fitness program designed to build the speed, power and strength to take your game to the next LEVEL. Our program forges the athleticism and explosiveness that will translate into you becoming a difference maker on the ice.
This 12 week training system is derived from the CrossFit methodology of constantly varied high intensity movements with an emphasis to maximize sports performance. Hockey Explosive Athlete Training (Heat) can be performed with minimal or no equipment.
H.E.A.T. is for hockey players from ages 8 to 15 who want to take their performance to the next LEVEL through hard work, discipline and a program that will develop explosive athleticism.
HEAT divides athletes into groups based on their hockey classifications (Atom, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget) and provides age specific training.
Athletes will attend three coached classes a week via the Zoom app (until we are back onsite at our facility) and have two days of homework to be completed on your own time. You will need a phone/tablet or laptop computer with a stable internet connection to participate. Our program will provide all of the coaching and correction you would get in person, but you can complete the training anywhere.
We will mold mental toughness, work ethic and teamwork by conquering hard physical challenges and through the examination of daily mindset pieces.
Each session begins with an online seminar with DJ Smith on what it takes to become an elite level hockey player. DJ will give you the insight on the athleticism, mindset and skills required to succeed at any LEVEL!
