What got you started in CrossFit? How did you hear about it?
I heard rumors from my regular gym goer friends that CrossFitters were a little nuts, a little extreme and maybe a little odd…I was sold.
What is your favourite part about coming to the gym?
My favourite part of the gym is the atmosphere. Lots of encouragement and acceptance no matter where you are on your journey.
What is your favourite CrossFit moment? Least favourite?
The best moment was competing in and completing both my first open and Crossfit competition … the worst? There are no bad moments at All Level!
What are your goals in CrossFit?
Get strong physically and mentally and to help stay active and continue to enjoy a good life in my old age.
How do you explain your newfound obsession with CrossFit?
It’s really in line with who I am. I love close families, challenges and learning.
What advice do you have for someone who is thinking of trying CrossFit?
DO IT! Honestly, all the different influences of people, talents and capabilities is incredible and creates the best environment that keeps you wanting to come back!
What does CrossFit mean to you?
Crossfit is a big part of my life and life goals. I only regret I didn’t start sooner!
How has CrossFit helped you improve your life outside of the gym?
Increase in energy, increased strength (physically and mentally), lowered stress, being able to keep up with my kids and hopefully the means to a strong, healthy, active retirement
