All Leveler March 2022–Louise R!

1. How long have you been doing CrossFit? What got you started?

I started CrossFit in June of 2020. So approx 1.5 yrs. I was doing home workouts on my own (because of covid lockdowns) really missing the gym, classes and being coached ( that’s the style I like best) and a old friend i use to workout with kept posting her outdoor workouts on Instagram. So I messaged her and asked about it. She educated me on All level crossfit and how they were training outdoors and through zoom. I was instantly very interested but I was a bit scared/ intimidated. I didn’t think I was “CrossFit material”. I hummed and hawed about it for weeks than finally reach out to All level and met with Coach Zach. Where he reassured me that all classes and exercises would be scaled to my abilities to my comfort level. I remember when I was in my first class where I had to scale and exercise and I was so embarrassed, but I noticed no one around me cared or even noticed. Everyone was supporting each other and working at their own pace and level. It was pretty cool to see. Everyone was so happy to just be working out. I immediately fell in love with that “Vibe”.

2 hat aspect of our core values of Authentic, Driven, and Inclusive do you relate to the most? Why?

This is a tough one… Driven. I think I am a driven person, but I also know I can only push myself so far. But with the support and encouragement of the coach’s, It has driven me to new levels I never imagine I could hit. One of the things I love the most about the team of coaches at all levels is that you guys are so driven to help everyone make themselves better. It’s so awesome to see and to be a part of.

3. What do you most look forward to when you come to the gym?

I enjoy the sense of community and the sense of comaradery. The question of the day lets you get to know each other a little bit ” ice breaker” if you will. The coaches always happy to see you. And no matter what “level” you’re at, you get support and recognition from your peers and coach at the end of the workout. I don’t think.ive ever left the gym feeling bad. I look forward to feeling good! Mentally and physically.

4. What is your favourite memory at All Level CrossFit?

I don’t think I have one… I feel like I’m just getting started. I’m learning something new about myself daily. I still have so much to learn, and I’m just truly happy I found crossfit, and I’m look forward to making many cool memories.

5. What goals have you set for yourself in CrossFit that you’ve successfully achieved? What are your current goals?

When I started, my goal was to find my inner athlete again. Feel good about myself and of course, I had the typical weight loss goal, but truly, I knew if I could just find myself again all these other things would fall into place.. I felt like I had lost it with covid lockdowns and was developing bad habits. I definitely felt like I’ve achieved that! I’m pumped!.

6 What advice do you have for someone who’s on the fence about starting CrossFit?

JUST DO IT! Everyone here will support you in every way! It’s such an amazing, positive community! It will have nothing but positive effects on every aspect of your life!

7 How has your experience at All Level CrossFit improved your life outside of the gym?

It’s pretty simple really. I just FEEL GOOD! and it shows in every aspect of my life. I am stronger mentally, physically, and emotionally. I stand taller and prouder. I’m excited to face new challenges and to face the day.

4 I remember just getting into the swing of things. I was on a roll and the government shut us down before Christmas. I was devastated. So so upset. Within hours All Level had a plan for us to continue from home. Borrowing equipment, home programs, zoom classes I was texting with coach John for extra strength training. It was simply amazing! I look back at that now and it truly saved me. I don’t know of any other gym that did that for their clients. It still amazes me. It was so awesome 🧡💚💜💙.
