1.) What got you started in CrossFit? How did you hear about it?
I first heard about CrossFit through Laura Caron who was my teacher in high school. I tried one bootcamp that she taught. But I didn’t give it a second thought until 2018, which is when I joined you the gym.
2.) What is your favourite part about coming to the gym?
My favourite part about coming to the gym is the people/community. I have never ever met one single rude person at the gym. Everyone is so nice and the community is amazing. Everyone is so supportive of one another and is always so encouraging.
3.) What is your favourite CrossFit movement? Least favourite?
Favourite CrossFit movement is any form of kettlebell swing. I really like them. Or a snatch since I was working on my form with Kerry before the lockdown. Least favourite would have to be the devils press? (The one with the burpee and then a snatch with a dumbbell).
4.) What are your goals in CrossFit?
Honestly my goals are to become really strong. I really look to Coach Kerry and Sam for inspiration.
5.) How do you explain your newfound obsession with CrossFit?
It’s my moment to prove to myself just how far I’ve come within my own fitness goals.
6. What advice do you have for someone who is thinking of trying CrossFit?
Honestly just try it, you’ll regret not starting right away. The people are so welcoming.
7. What does CrossFit mean to you?
8. How has CrossFit helped you improve your life outside of the gym?
I’ve become stronger in all aspects of life mentally, and physically. Also with working retail it helps with being able to lift most objects or able to stand on my feet for long periods of time.
